Taylor Swift may play musician Joni Mitchell in the upcoming adaptation of Sheila Weller‘s book “Girls Like Us.”
Variety reports the pic will follow the careers of singers Joni, Carly Simon, and Carole King (Alison Pill auditioned for the role).

House exec producer Katie Jacobs is directing the Sony Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures flick.
Taylor made her feature acting debut in the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, and recently lent her voice to the animated flick, The Lorax.
