The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ok first let me tell you that i did wrote a review for this book but somehow i lost it...I have first saw the all the movies before i even thought to read any of the books. I have read all 3 of them and they are all amazing but exactly how i thought some parts they have way to much details, that's why they are so big. I have reading it at the end of 2013 and finish reading in 2014.
I can tell you much only that at some key points in the book explains better then it did in the movie, or they adventure is played different then the movie (like most of the movies that are made after a book). Love all the time when Legolas and Gimli fight side by side, so funny, compared with the movie in the book is more adventure, and the fights they are explained in details. What is d not in the movie, the experience of the two hobbits (merry and pippin) when they are taken by the orcs. Each hobbit will tell their experience and where they go each time from its point of view. Is just amazing how they see the forest when they run to save their lives (the parts with them i am so sad it was not in the movie, like how the liquid that they were drinking took their hunger away and they will not feel so tired anymore). Its few chapters where explains everything that happens in the forest (the world that is in there and the languages).
Some of the things they are changed in the movie and i think i like it (but like the time that gandalf goes to save the kind from saruman i like it in the movie, because the evil wizard doesn't expect what is coming). At some points i was very confused because i was remembering what happen in the movie and when i tried to make a connection with the book it did not make any sense.
However i do not regret reading the book, because it made me love the lord of the rings series even more. If you love the movie you must read this book you will not regret it
